Annual Summer Fete

Saturday 21st June 2008

A highlight of the summer is the Annual Jevington Church Fete, held in the parish in the magnificent setting of Filching Manor, by kind permission of Greta Foulkes- Halbard. The Manor can be found at Filching, on the C40 road, between Polegate cross-roads and Jevington. There will be a large Fete banner at the Manor entrance.

This is an Annual event not to be missed, with enjoyment and fun for all ages.

The Annual Fete takes place in June

There is ample parking in the grounds

Traditional Village Fete Stalls including: 

Cakes,  Plants,  Jewellery,  Gifts,  Crafts, Honey, Homemade Bread

Bric-a-brac, Books etc.

Sideshows, games & competitions included:

Coconut Shy, Roll -a -Penny, Wellie Throwing, Catch the Rat, Stocks, Guess the weight of the Cake etc.  Raffle, Silent Auction and Tombola

There was a Barbecue, Beer Tent,  Coffee, Cream Teas and Homemade Cakes, Ice creams, Strawberries & Cream

The Willingdon Scout Band played at the official opening and Warbleton Brass Band played throughout the afternoon. 

Visitors could see the Vintage Car Display from the Motor Museum and inside the beamed Hall with its Minstrel Gallery.
